@Izca thankyou .. yeah finally after a long wait .. of 5 months exactly
i wish you get good mews soon.
Hi all, anyone got good news this week?
Meanwhile, I also compile some information shared on this forum started on February 2023 up to November 2023.
Total sample: 18 (I only include data with clear dates of registration and approvals).
- Visa approved less than 2 months: 0
- Approved less than 3 months: 4 (22% of samples / cum. 22% of samples)
- Approved less than 4 months: 6 (33% of samples / cum. 55% of samples)
- Approved less than 5 months: 3 (16% of samples / cum. 72% of samples)
- Approved less than 6 months: 4 (33% of samples / cum. 94% of samples)
- Approved more than 6 months: 1 (6% of samples / cum. 100% of samples)
Thank you to all members who shared their experiences in this forum. I know this calculation is not the most accurate because the size of the samples is not ideal, but hopefully it can give us a glimpse about the waiting time.
@Orion28 I have same time line applied here in Berlin ( Belgium  embassy)
@Hunny Bini awwwwn congratulations my dear, I am specifically happy for you, you have really waited for a long time
@Hunny Bini congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hello everyone
Please is there any news on October and November files... For family reunion with an EU citizen. Please if anybody has received their good news please kindly share with us that are still waiting to encourage us more
@ugwujaukamaka406
No updates from me.
Hopeful I can get my visa on late February.
Same here, no updates. Just waiting.
Hi all.
Anyone got good news this week?
It seems the process is a slowing down this past 2 weeks.
@Izca seriously... Was thinking since there is no more holidays the process will hasten up...I guess I was wrong, the wait is draining ðŸ˜
can someone enlighten me once the single permit is in place for non-eu citizen, is it best to apply for visa D with my spouse at the same time or it is fine to apply separately?
is the 6-9 months processing time fixed for both scenarios? Thanks in advance
@gathercutesy09
Hi there. In my case, I applied separately because my embassy asked me to submit my spouse's residence card. We could only obtain it after my spouse had been living in Belgium for one month and registered herself at the local office.
I recommend checking with your embassy about this to be sure, because in my friend's case, his embassy didn't require a residence card. He only needed to submit a working and housing rental contract.
Regarding the timeline, it's not fixed. Some people may get their visa in less than 3 months, while others have to wait up to 6 months. Fortunately, I haven't come across anyone in this forum who had to wait for up to 9 months so far.
@Izca to add to this , if your spouse is a Belgium( national) your visa will take maximum of 6 months, but for non EU it takes up to 9 months ,and can be extended to 3months in some cases....my friends visa was given a year to her application because her husband was a non EU
@ugwujaukamaka406
My spouse and I are non-eu national.
based on what I understand it is literally not possible apply for visa D at a same time as either it requires rental contract or residence card meaning that one should at least live in Belgium. am I correct?
regarding timeline is it really going to take 9+3 months?!!Â
Yes one should at least live in Belgium,then the spouse can apply for visa D family reunion with a non EU, just zero your minds on 9months wait then pray luck's shine on you the visa can be granted before that too... I am just giving you their time frame in their website,but that does not mean it can't come out earlier than that. Non EU sometimes even get their visa approve 5 months or less....it all depends on the immigration work speed
Hello everyone
Please is there any news on September files... For family reunion with an non EU citizen. Please if anybody has received their good news please kindly share with us that are still waiting to encourage us more
@gathercutesy09
About timeline we really dont know how long and how it works.
If you read some replies in this thread, you will find some non-EUs who got their visa before 4 months, or even before 3 months.
There was a case someone (non-EU) who applied on 10 Oct and already got his visa in early January, yet at the same time someone who applied on September still havent get any news.
I think the most draining part is because there is no clear pattern or estimation.
And if we e-mail Belgium's immigration they wont give us any estimation either, they will just say it could take 9 months++.
Hello everyone,
I applied on 4th September and it was registered on 26th October. I am a non-EU, Turkish citizen.
And today, there has been an update about the status. It says, Granting of visa upon presenting additional documents.
I wanted to share it to encourage everyone who is waiting and to give you an idea about the dates.
Best of luck everyone.
@burakmeric awwwn congratulations!!! My hope is Risen, let me keep waiting for my good news. I am so so happy for you
@burakmeric
Thank you so much for sharing.
Hopefully you get another good news soon!
Hello house, with regards to rental contract as a prove of accomdation while applying for family reunifaction, my wife is a belgian and i am about applying for Visa D, she stays and takes care of her step dad who is handicapped, how would i prove “ the accomadation in terms of rental contract) does she have to leave the step dad house and get rent an apartment so she can get a rental agreement in her name so i can use while applying or can she use the step dad house address as a prove that i have a place to stay
Note: the stepdads apart Is a 2 bedroom space
kindly help with a response
@solanrewaju45
Hi, unfortunately I dont know the answer for your case.
Have u tried contacting the embassy? I tried contacting the embassy before and they are quite helpful.
Anyone got good news this week?
I feel the embassy moved fast in early January but suddenly slowing down in this last 2-3 weeks.
Hopefully I'm wrong.
@burakmeric
Are they contacted you via e-mail or mail?
Hopefully you get your accord soon.
@Izca There was an update on Dofi's follow-up system. After one day, Vfs Turkey contacted me via e-mail.
So my wife's visa will be granted upon presenting the proof of air ticket.
Waiting was hard, but it's going to be approved.
Hang in there everyone, your visa WILL get approved if you meet the terms. Its just a matter of time.
My case: family reunion with a Belgian minor (mother of a belgian minor)
Applied on 9 november
Registered on 22 december
Decision on 5 february: visa grant upon presenting additional documents (flight ticket, in my case).
Good luck everybody
@Orion28
Congrats! Yours take less than 3 months.
You and me are just one day apart. You applied at 9 Nov, and I at 10 Nov.
However your case is EU citizen and I am a non-EU, so I guess mine will take slightly longer. But its good to hear that at least they are already on November files somehow.
Safe trip to Belgium!
