Let's start with Hymn #1 - Petitions.

personally i have no issue with petitions - but clearly some do.

"Politics"........ is the practice and theory of influencing other people on a civic or individual level.(sic)

Practical separation is what's needed.

Personally I don't think the answer to questions posted here on the forum should be to fill in a petition and wait for years. Whether right or wrong ....petitions against the Maltese government are political especially when backed by political parties.

Don't we try to give advice that helps on the spot?

And I personally don't like the impression being given that 'Up in ARMS' is representing all Expats in Malta. Certainly not me. In fact some of the points raised by 'Up in ARMS' and their main 'speakers' are just embarrassing!

I wholly agree. Not in my name. Petitions are NOT the answer and certainly not to people who need an answer/help/advice immediately.
Some people and Byron in particular is just hi-jacking threads to further their own political agendas.
It's also VERY boring to look for information just to find a link to yet another petition.
Petition; repetition.

many of the points raised here against the petitioners too are questionable and challengable....particularly in towing the party line - but like everyone else we are all entitled to a humble opinion..... and we all to either a greater or lesser degree take some joy out of even the slightest of influence - human nature is indeed wonderful.

I challenge Byron to prove his assertions that only EU members are  quote 'discriminated' against.
He cannot because he cannot provide evidence from every single Maltese National or Non EU person, let alone every EU Member here if they believe they have been discriminated against.
Some of us toe no party line. We hold our own opinions and values.
Some of us are not sheep.
