Residency Agency recommendation

Jotch

Hello.  We are new residents to Malta.  We moved here in early December 2024, pre-approved by Malta's tax authority and presumed to be approved by Identita [Immigration] within three months.  Time went on and on, and despite frequent requests to our residency agency, it took a full seven months to get our approval from Identita!  We paid a lot to our residency agency, but we were the ones doing the worrying, legwork and follow-through!

The cards are only good for a year, so we are faced with going through this stressful and lengthy process again in a few months.  Our residency agency does not give good advice, and often our emails and texts go unanswered.

We wondered if any of you have recommendations for another agency, who you have used and is responsive to clients' needs?  We worry if we just pick another random agency from online that they may be just as bad.

Thank you!

Hello Jotch.

I would suggest using one of the larger advisory companies. In the past I worked with EY (Ernst & Young), they have a dedicated immigration team. I will send you the contact details via your private message inbox.

@Jotch

Your cards will only be valid one year as you are a TCN the same applies to other people not in the EU.
