Why do some of us seem to spend so much time on here?

GuestPoster566

I do so in order to learn and in some cases try to help others, having spent much time on Malta and Gozo and of course because we are moving out to Gozo/Malta.

Also, I have always been and still do regard myself as active in anti discriminatory practises so I tend to get riled when I see posts which are discriminatory on the basis of gender, religion (faith) race, sexual orientation etc. etc. especially as I regard myself as mixed race, though born in the UK, Liverpool.

I also have the time to be able to do so as I am retired and care for my wife.

Any other reasons from anyone else?

I have found the expat websites for Malta and for other countries that I have lived in to be a useful and helpful resource and they have been of great benefit to me, I find the majority of people who post on them to want to help and advise others and let them have the benefit of their experience and to stop people finding things out the hard way as they may have done.I really appreciate the time and effort that people put into sharing on these sites and I thank them for that and for all the kindness they have shown me by answering my many questions, I hope to be able to do the same when I have more knowledge and experience of living here.

What Mick and Rainbow said.......

I also can gauge the feeling of how life is going in Malta with up-to-date comments made.  Oh! and the chit-chat that sometimes goes on.  After all is not only a forum for giving out information - it is somewhere one can come for a little 'chat'..........it's a friendly place.

Having very little experience at all regarding Malta and Gozo, the people on the forum have been so helpful, there has never been a time when someone doesnt answser one of my questions... sometime trivial questions, keep the quips going, enjoy them all and thanks guys for all of your info

I concur with flyingpommy...

It's been a great help and hope to avoid many pitfalls amd know if I do that the guy's and gals on the forum is there to help.

Also a great way to build a friend base before getting to Malta and then putting faces to names over a few beers.
