Thanks Lisa

Hello,

I can't really answer your question but if you already don't have a chimney in your house you probably need an authorized chimney sweeping company for whole installation since Bulgaria also is an EU country, normally you need a building permit from local authorities to install a new chimney. And there are also new log burner/stove EU rules which will come into force in year 2022 so all EU countries are in an adjusting period of rules right now.

However if you already have a chimney in the house all you need is two more hands to get the job done but you still have to check with the local authorities anyway to find out if there is a burning prohibition connected to your chimney and when the last time sweepers had done their job on your chimney and so on, so best thing is to hire an authorized sweeping company from the list of local authorities, they probably will do both the practical and the bureaucratic job for you. By the way log burner/stove is always nice to have in four season countries, cheers!
