As a legal permanent resident, you now have most of the rights of a Brazilian citizen, except the right to vote, to hold political office, and to participate in the tests ("concursos") for government jobs.聽 You also cannot obtain a Brazilian passport, so make sure to keep a valid passport from your home country at all times.聽 You can enter and leave Brazil whenever and as often as you want, once the country opens up again to foreign travel.聽 Just make sure not to let more than two years elapse between visits to Brazil, or you may lose your status.

Important actions that are now easier, and even possible for you:
-- register at your state labor department for the right to work legally.
-- obtain a SUS (National Health System) card at a local SUS clinic.聽 This is not absolutely necessary to receive treatment, but will facilitate the process.
-- open a bank account at a Brazilian bank
-- rent a house or apartment

If you don't yet have a CPF, a Brazilian tax ID, be sure to get one at a local Receita Federal office as soon as possible.聽 This is another necessary document.

I wanted to ask is Registro Nacional de Estrangeiros and Carteira de Registro Nacional Migrat贸rio is the same docoments or different.

I really don't know about lot of information about migration. But yesterday i register my VITEM XI and applied for CRNM. PF gives me the protocolo. Can i apply for my CPF and work card with this protocolo?. If yes then where i can apply for my work card?.

CRNM is the new card.
As to work CPF, yes you can. As to work card, I do not believe you can until all approved for CRNM

I have another question. The moment i applied for my CRNM PF didn't took my passport for stamped permanente. I have one year VITEM XI visa stamped by brazilian consulate in pakistan. But i think PF was supposed to stamped my passport with permanente. Is it really necessary stamped on passport by PF in brazil?
And what if i travel abroad after one year expiry date of VITEM XI. Wouldn't it create problem for me to re enter in brazil?

Stamp not necessary. In a little while you麓ll be issued your CRNM and you can use that to travel abroad with your passport....

I do not want to give you incorrectly. The PF entered your information in the system when you presented CRNM application. They will not stamp to passport, just issue your protocol number. (Do not lose this paper. Once approved you should receive a new protocol with a picture to use while waiting on your card)
I would not suggest leaving just before or after expiration on any immigration document. Just wait for CRNM, then all would be fine.

You'll apply for your Labor Card at the state Department of Labor office in the city where you live.聽 As Tex said, they'll probably require your CRNM before processing your request.

Hi if anyone can answer I would appreciate it. I have not been able to get a straight answer. I have my permenant residence card and renewed it after 10 years and due to my age received no expiration date, status indefinitely and was told I no longer need to return. Question does this out of country 2 year rule apply to me.
