That is a lot to help you with but I can tell you one thing about Miami - your quality of life will depend on the area of the city you live in. Another words you get what you pay for.

I doubt your boyfriend can find a job without a visa. If you have a visa yourself, it does not mean he can work, even if you are married. And he can't stay more than 3 months with a tourist visa (can be extended to 6 months but then he would have to get out of the US and come back again after 3 months).
