Taxes for expats in the United Arab Emirates

Cheryl

Hello everyone,

When settling in and living in the United Arab Emirates, you will also need to navigate the local tax system. In order to help newcomers and expats ease their tax-related experience, we would like to invite you to share your experience.

What are the taxes applicable to expats in the United Arab Emirates?

Have there been any recent changes in tax regulations that expats should know about?

Are there any local tax incentives or agreements with your home country?

Have you come across any unexpected or unusual local tax?

What do you wish you had known earlier about taxes in the United Arab Emirates?

Share your insights and experience.

Thank you for your contribution.

@Cheryl

You can arrange to organize a Group for Network of professionals and people interested to meet and discuss  on the Tax in UAE, Preparation of filing Returns, recent Exemption of fine AED 10000, the date you can select between 10th to 15th June and not later as the First Return filing date is end of July 2025.

Cheryl

Hello ftcbizservice,

Since we are not based in the UAE, organizing something directly can be a bit challenging. That is why I started this discussion to give members the opportunity to share and exchange information about anything related to taxes for expats in the UAE.

Thank you for suggesting it.

Cheers,

Cheryl
