Dear friends,聽聽聽聽

I have received my work visa through email. I took a printout and then went to book my flight ticket from Gulf air, but the agent says that I need " OK TO BOARD " as there are many fake visas hence this part is necessary.

As per my previous experience I traveled with paper visa i.e. without stamp on my passport (INDIA). it was Jett airways. This time its Gulf Air. Even I have checked in LMRA site about the aunthenticity of my work visa. I can see clearly the status shows employment visa valid.

Travel agent says that they might stop me and not allow me to travel. I still have forwarded my ticket to my employer for OK TO BOARD.

but today is Saturday and tomorrow (30th sept.)I m leaving at 2 am (early in the morning from Mumbai) if he fails to get it done (ok to board) then still I will face any obstacle or it's fine to travel without the same?

Please advise me my well wishers.

It is a country specific requirement and not prescribed by Bahrain.聽 You would need to rely on what the airline says.

I faced similar situation where my employer forgot to send OK to board. At the end, my employer send email to Kuwait Airways - Mumbai office. meantime they made me sign indemnity that if Bahrain Authority deport me back then i have to bear the expense.

Finally, I was able to board.
