Where to Live in Lisbon

I am an English speaker thinking of moving to Lisbon, either permanently or part-time.  I have visited before for short periods.  I am wondering where in Lisbon do the English speakers linv in general.  Thanks.

I wouldn't say that there are specific locations where English citizens decide to live. It will also depend on one's income....If you're into "noisy," so to speak, places, then downtown Lisbon (Chiado/Alfama, etc.) might meet with your goals. In uptown Lisbon, there's Lapa, Estrela, etc.

If you prefer wider streets and a bit more modern, you will like Avenidas Novas especially near Corte Ingles and Park Eduardo VII

To be honest I think this question cannot be answered without knowing you budget. Lisbon might not at all be for your or a fantastic place to live.
