Hello everyone,

I would like to ask if there鈥檚 a complete document checklist for MVV VISA (partner), we checked on the official websites but we couldn鈥檛 find the actual checklist, so i was hoping that someone can provide all the documents we need to apply for Mvv (both for my partner who鈥檚 a dutch national and for me, filipino national) and if which is better, if my partner will apply on my behalf in netherlands or should i apply in the embassy here in the philippines? Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Also, i was wondering if i could still travel To netherlands once we applied for Mvv? Or should i wait in philippines until the decision is made, also whats your experience on ur mvv application? How long did it take for you to receive your mvv?

We鈥檙e just very clueless and we would like to know some of your experiences and hope it can help us. Thank you so much and we really appreciate your response.

For the TEV/MVV procedure you can check what applies to your situation on
After filling in your nationality (Filipino) and your partner (Dutch) you can see what conditions apply.
At the bottom you can generate a checklist (first some questions have to be answered).
More information can be found at

Your Dutch partner should apply for the TEV/MVV procedure. This can be done by registered mail or online (I used online because then only the information will be asked that applies to your situation).

After 62 days I noticed in MijnIND that the application had changed to being processed and to my surprise we got a yes the next day.
My wife went to the embassy about 1.5 week later and received her passport back a week later (the embassy had indicated that the MVV visa would take them 4 working days).
Depending on if the embassy can make the visa themselves it can take up to 2 weeks to get the visa in the passport.
