Rummie

Hello friends i am planning to move from KL to Hague. The reason for move in considering long term stability (PR) and quality of life. Hence could you throw some light on below topics:

1. Cost of living in hague for a family of 3 considering we rent out 2 Bed room apartment

2. Cost of schooling Dutch vs International schools.

3. Will it be easy for my spouse to find work.

4. Is PR easy to apply in netherlands.

5. Does foreign employee get 30% tax exemption.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

To answer your questions:

  • The Numbeo website has details for many cities; this will take you straight to one I've just created for Den Haag.
  • The International Schools website lists all the International schools in the Netherlands and their costs; this will take you straight to it.  Public schools are generally free to attend, but you do have to buy specialist textbooks as and when required.
  • Spouse work - it depends on what his/her skills are and how good their Dutch is.
  • Residency will depend on whether you can get a job.  I've just looked at some posts you made on here a few years back; all things being equal, my advice would be to join something like LinkedIn, then reach out to your peers in the Netherlands and find out who is hiring and where, you will then be better informed.
  • Not all; in order to qualify, you need to meet some requirements; this will take you to the Dutch Government (Belastingdienst) website on the subject.

I hope this helps.
