Hi all,

I'm 34, living in France. I have lived in several cities since I started working but I have not yet been charmed by one.

I don't like living in France at all. I would like to discover a new country, an island or something close to it. I'm not afraid to move or settle in a place that is new to me. I have experienced it several times and it has always gone very well.

I am interested in moving to Saint Pierre and Miquelon because I think I can find what I have always been looking for there.

I would be happy if you could share your experiences and your advices for moving elsewhere!

France is not a welcoming place. I've lived here for 12 years for work reasons but intend to decamp to Morocco now that I work online. People tend to go to the north especially Rabat, they like Marrakesh which is developing a lively scene but as I love boredom and quiet coffees I'm hooked on Agadir. Good luck. Xx

Hello - why not try Portugal?聽 The people are really pleasant and there is so much history, beautiful coastline, lovely countryside.聽 The cost of living is very reasonable, fruit, vegetables and fish at the local markets enable you to keep to a healthy diet at a low price.聽 The Portuguese love poetry and also festivals and festivities.聽 Most of the towns are well kept, clean and cheerful.聽
Of course, it depends on what you are looking for?聽 Which is for you to decide ...
I've lived in the Paris region for 40 years and am sometimes irritated by people but there's good and bad in all nations.聽 I'm British with a resident's card for France.聽 I've also lived in Spain and now come to Portugal regularly.聽 My brother who lives in New Zealand has a flat in the south and I very willingly look after it for him as he's not often here due to the distance and now to the pandemic restrictions.

Hello, thank you for answering,

I love Portugal! I made a few stays there. I loved the area and the people who live there. I could really consider living there. There is only the language barrier that scares me, although I know that you can speak English very well with almost anyone.

Maybe I'll go there for a full month to familiarize myself with life there.

It's not that I don't like life, it's just that I wasn't very lucky in the lottery. Living in France isn't difficult but I'm starting to get fed up with this atmosphere where people are jealous, mean and prefer to crush you rather than help you.

I have already tried to go to the West Indies but I returned after a few months because I had trouble with the local population. I did not behave badly and I respected the local people but I didn't find this experience great.
