I was on L card then became citizen, We did family reunification while both of us were on A card around 5 years ago.

Ask them for the documents required to request F card for your wife. There is no question of IF YOU CAN APPLY. Your wife IS eligible to apply. If that means, going there and getting all information, that should be fine for you as well.

Hi @hssn601 I was also in the same situation. My wife is currently on an A card, which expires in Jan 2026. Next year, she’ll complete 5 years of residence in Belgium and become eligible for PR. The commune told her to apply for an F card since I became Belgian a month ago. My question is: if she gets the F card now, does she lose the 4 years she already has on her A card, or will it still count toward the 5 years?

Why would she lost the 4 years? Why a card replacement would affect her past?

Many times i lived in Belgium with an Annex. Just an annex. From A card to Annex and Annex to A card didnt change anything.

For her NO! Her legal status will continue .
