Corporation annual fees

marascot

Hello all, I was wondering if Panamanian Corporation fees can be paid directly to the government or there must be paid through a lawyer. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello Mara,

Sure, you could pay your annual fee by yourself. However, your company is required to have a registered agent in Panama, who must be a lawyer or a law firm. Registered agent services have an annual cost, too.

Hi Mara smile.png In my case, I have a really good lawyer who takes care of everything for me — the payment, the annual filings, and keeping an eye on deadlines so I never have to worry about missing something. It’s been such a relief knowing it’s all in good hands. Happy to help if you have any questions smile.png

Can you please give me an idea of the costs?

What is the usual cost for that?

You can pay them yourself. In David if you live in Chiriqui.  I had a Panama corporation for awhile. A lawyer convinced me to form one and put my property in its name. Supposedly to reduce liability in case you are sued. I finally got rid of it and put the property in my own name. Not worth the trouble. If you are worried about being sued the most likely reason you could be sued is because of an auto accident. I think it is easier and cheaper and better to buy more insurance coverage  on your car than to have a Panama corporation. Just my opinion but I have lived in Panama almost 26 years now. My Panama corporation was just a nuisance.
