Dengue Fever, Punta Cana oceanfront

robertinvan

Sorry if this is covered in another thread. But I thought I would let you know that my friend had dengue three weeks ago (confirmed via the molecular test at Referencia).

Now it’s my turn. In Hospiten Bavaro.

The staff here have been amazing. When was the last time the head of Public Relations asked how everything is going in a Canadian hospital?

The real tragedy is dealing with Allianz. They tell you they never received forms until you read them the emai from the hospitall. “Oh yes I see it now”.

My only recommendation: wear insect repellant, screens on all windows, and don’t bother with Allianz.

BTW they STILL haven’t approved me being admitted, requested by the hospital at 11 am yesterday.  I paid $4000 just to get admitted, or I would still be waiting in the ER hoping that Allianz “finds the forms”.

“We’re going to expedite this … hope you are feeling better … we care about you …” barf
