Hey. so i apply online for an exension amd then just stay and pay a fee when i leave?

So, idk here was my experience.

I went to the DR from June 2023 to Sept 3 2023. I applied for an extension legally etc payed and got the letter. When I went to the airport I showed them the letter and the receipt. They sent me to different people and eventuallly told me I had to pay again. Despite all my evidence. They said next time as an American dont do that. Pay the oversay fee basically like everyone else. This was the airport in Las Americas Santo Domingo.

Yeah- I’ve never tried to do it in advance. I always just pay at the airport and I’ve never had a problem.
