My name is Ron. Retired US Marine and teacher. Will be moving to Philippines this coming Sept. I am not new to the country as I spent many years in the Subic area. Look forward to reading what you all share. Excited to get there. Going to settle in Iloilo. Comments about Iloilo would be appreciated.

Ron I've heard and read lots of positive reviews about Iloilo. One of the few major cities I have not visited in the Philippines. A well planned out city with a competent mayor. It's on my bucket list

I spent 4 days in Iloilo in January.聽 Clean and nice inthe district I was in but there does not seem to be diving near by.聽 I did not check out the beaches.聽 Travel seemed much more civilized than other cities of this size, they mostly seem to follow the rules of the road.聽
