How do you like living in Lapu-Lapu?

swt90alum

My wife and I are moving to Lapu-Lapu from the U.S. as soon as our house sells, and we are interested in hearing from people currently living there and how much they like it.

Hi, I got a friend on Mactan Island where Lapu-Lapu is. He has a condo in "The Reef". The condo is beautiful but very expensive.

A cheaper version is Newport. Nice infrastructure, nice surroudings. Hotels, Condos, Beach.

There is also a nice part where the Moevenpick is.

Check it on Google Maps. There is a street view for every main road. Then you can decide for yourself if you want to live there.

Why would anyone consider living in Lapu Lapu. The international (yes it went international a few years back) airport has according to my ChatGPT phone app 100,000 flight movements a year; 273 take offs and landings each day. This is set to increase substantially over the next few years.

Lapu Lapu is 1mile from the runway. I suppose if your an aircraft spotter (anorak) its an ideal location. And of course the aircraft noise drowns out the sound of the roosters.
