Davine_

Hi! I've been living in Siem Reap for 7 months,  and I'm loving every minute of it!! The only problem is I find it difficult to meet new people... And I really want to make new friends^^

Likes include: going for walks, Asia pop (I say Asia coz I love groups ftom Korea, Japan, Cambodia, China and Thailand), Asia dramas (sama as previous one hahahaha), I like reading and I talk way to much. Binge watching netflix is how I unwind and I watching walkthroughs on Youtube is my only sorce of gaming because I have a potato for a laptop🤣

I kust wanna meet some people who share the same interests as me lol! If anyone eant to meet up for some coffee or beer of tea or whatever let me know hahahaha

Hi Davine, I suggest you create a FB group "Davine's", where you expose your domains of interests and do your best to share in other groupes by affiliation?

Hi. I'd suggest considering visiting Heritage Walk Mall and check out their calendar of events. I've been going there for a few years and they regularly have social events and shows there. Also there is the day market right by the river and Residence Park where a variety of goods are sold. Its fun to stroll through the market there when they have shows. If you enjoy walking, recently we have been visiting a variety of Angkor Wat temples. Banteay Srey is very nice. My partner is Khmer so she decides where we go. I don't ever remember which temples I've been to so each time we go is like the first time. Angkor Wat has had some changes to the walking paths I just read as well.

Have you considered taking weekend trips? If you are off on a weekend, going to Battambang is easy on the bus or van service. It only takes 3 hours each way. The riverwalk there is completely different than here and there are really nice local and international restaurants. We particularly like Indian and Greek food in Battambang but the food at the market like Khmer soup in the morning is nice. There are nice coffee shops there too.

Here I would walk the river, try a variety of the restaurants and coffee shops. I enjoy the Khmer coffee shops more so I found a few in my neighborhood where the owners always will chat with me and remember my orders. I don't drink too often any more but I do enjoy going to a few places downtown. Beatnik Bar comes to mind. There's some interesting people that go there and its easy to reach. Finally would suggest visiting Sister Srey Cafe right along the river by the old market.

It seems every time I have walked along the river from downtown past Rt 6 to the big hospital I always meet Khmer people out walking too. One person talked to me for awhile at a bench where we sat about life in Siem Reap, places to try for coffee, etc.

Hope this helps just a little bit.
