Getting prescriptions / testosterone replacement therapy

vikaa_

Hi,

my partner and I are considering immigrating to Paraguay. The issue we are currently trying to figure out is that he is on testosterone replacement therapy so he needs access to testosterone.

Is this easy to get via a prescription or do we even need one? I can't figure out if it's a controlled substance in Paraguay or not.

Also does anyone know of a english-speaking clinic in Asuncion who could maybe help with that? He could probably get a letter of some sort from his local doctor here but I don't know if doctors in Paraguay will accept it?

Thanks in advance!

You do need a prescription in Paraguay for testosterone.  With a prescription it is readily available, for instance here on-line:

For English-speaking clinics in Asunción you can try an internet search and also Facebook:

paraguay asunción clínica inglés

You should then contact the clinics in the list of results and see if their English is suitable for you.

Thanks for the reply. Where exactly do I see that I need a prescription on that website? Because to me there's no sign or text that says it?
