Working as a gynecologist in Ecuador

Emanoil

I am a Consultant physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
I worked as such for many years now both in my homeland ( Romania ) and in Germany.
Tried to get my acknowledgement as such in Norway which revealed itself to be a long process.
I am willing to move abroad !
My question : Do I get difficulties in getting my recognition as a  gynecologist in Ecuador . It is important to be sure of it because relocation is a special adventure

Waiting for reply and mostly on the steps required to get as soon as possible my recognition !
Regards
Emanoil

Take my advice with a grain of salt. I got a proffesional visa and had to submit my academic credentials and they were certified. The process took 3 months. However, they might have an organization similar to the AMA which is more restrictive for your field.  If you are serious, I can give more info in the service I use via a PM

Hello,
Thank You !
I am very serious about this issue !
But I mean it seriously too :  I would be glad to have my full recognition as gynecologist , as soon as possible . You said ,  it takes at least three months ! I wonder how one can live without jobb for three months ! Who is going to support You ? I could say I would study and practice Spanish ! It is ok ! But still ,  I need a place to stay ! So, there are many questions !

Awaiting Your further guidance ! Thank You !
Regards ,

Cannot imagine moving to a new country without having at least 6 months of daily living expenses saved or an income or pension plan already established.  The first Spanish you need to learn is mañana.

It does appear there are jobs available for gynecologists in Ecuador.  Do a search for
empleo ginecologo ecuador
...to see a few.  But I caution you, I cannot imagine any employer in Ecuador hiring a foreign gynecologist who cannot read, write and speak fluent Spanish.

In any case - you will first have to have your degree and experience recognized.  This process in Spanish is called ³ó´Ç³¾´Ç±ô´Ç²µ²¹³¦¾±Ã³²Ô, from the verb homologar, to recognize, approve or authorize.

You can read a bit about a Venezuelan doctor asking about practicing medicine in Ecuador, here in this forum:
/forum/viewtopic.php?id=477077

Also if you do an internet search for
homologacion de medico ecuador
...you will get some YouTube videos as well as text links for more information.

You should also contact Ecuador's Ministerio de Educación for more information on what's necessary for the ³ó´Ç³¾´Ç±ô´Ç²µ²¹³¦¾±Ã³²Ô ±è°ù´Ç³¦±ð²õ²õ.Ìý

Obviously this is not something that you can do on the spur of the moment - it will take lots of research and contact with Ecuador's authorities, and also with any potential employer - who, if they are interested in hiring you, might be able to help with the ±è°ù´Ç³¦±ð²õ²õ.Ìý Even if they are helpful you will be hindered by a lack of Spanish.

The only thing I can imagine if you are not fluent in Spanish is if you were to go work in an expat community in Ecuador, which is not really like living in another country in my opinion.

Hello
Thank You for reply.
I do not quite understand what You mean. Could you tell me more? More details !
As to my Spanish it is far better than You expect .
