VIVO sim card

hello everyone!
i have a question according to the VIVO sim card... i was living in Rio for years, but i had to left it in January this year, so since that time wasn't using my brazilian cell phone number... i'm going to be back in Rio in October and so i'm wondering will my sim card work or not? does anybody know for how long the VIVO number you've got is active and reserved for you even though you are not using it?

If your SIM has not been active in the past 6 months then you'll need to get a new one. Numbers get recycled here in Brazil very quickly because so many new phones are purchased each month.
