From the U.S to Brazil

Im moving in the spring to Brazil, im a college student with a business major,聽 who dosent have a whole lot of money but is looking to find work and to stay in Brazil for several of months... any information about this amazing country will be very helpful.

Be careful.聽 Brazil is an expensive place to live and salaries are very low.聽 Without a proper work permit you will likely be confined to teaching Englsih - and the pay sucks.聽 You can get private clients for more $$, but that takes time.聽 It is not easy to just show up and begin working/living.聽 But perhaps you are a lucky person.

Again, Agree with Jim.聽 You can make life as cheap as possible but, without family to live with here, it gets expensive fast. You can try to get an under the table job at an English school but the pay is loooow.聽 The best is private classes but you need to find students... You could also try to work at Irish pubs with lots of tourists. It's not likely you'll get a job though and the pay is also low. Work two jobs at home and save now!

Also, it will be really hard for you to find a good paying job if you don't speak portuguese. English will give you a great boost, but without portuguese, it will be difficult to do anything aside from english teaching.
