Crossing into Chile

Help! I'm living in Bariloche but need to get to Santiago, Chile. With the volcano eruption down here the border is closed. Can any help advise me as to which border crossing will be the easiest considering it is winter? Thank you!

Hi agentiluomo,

You'll probably have the most luck at the border crossing between Mendoza and Santiago, though it's not always open in the winter.聽 Flights between Mendoza and Santiago are generally pretty reasonable flying on LAN.
