It is up to others as to whether they reply to you. a complete stranger, so I suggest you give a little more information about yourself, hobbies etc and then others can make an informed decision about replying to you

I strongly discourage you from sending PM or contacting other members without an invitation.聽 That's the surest and quickest way to get yourself blocked.聽

Please do as stumpy suggested above: participate on different discussions on the forums so people can form an opinion about you.聽 After you are here for a while, you'll form an opinion about the regular posters as well, you'll know with whom you would like to be friend, and that would be the time to ask them whether it would be OK to send out PM.
