Ray Howell

Looking to move to Queretaro.  Can someone share their thoughts about some neighborhoods.  Also, is there a lot of tension given some of the recent concerns with the Americas new administration

Mexicans haven't said much about American policies yet but are more concerned about their own government demolishing democtracy and checks and balances turning their goverment into an authoritarian party with immunity to do whatever they please.

Hola Ray. I have lived in San Miguel de Allende for 8 years and I have noticed no increase in tension. Mexicans tend to be understanding  and forgiving people.

I know of a good person in Queretero that can answer questions about relocation, etc. Monica Wright. You can email her at househunting.qro@gmail.com

Also, the Mexicans are placing a lot of hope in their new president to stand strong in the face of what is happening in the US. She is currently enjoying an 81% approval rating

MexicoAfterlife

Over 3 years in Lake chapala area.  Locals have been great haven't noticed anything stranger other than..... Lake chapala society has been attacking one side of the political spectrum so much that a worker at the LCS attacked a man with a MAGA hat on.  I talked to my local friends and they said that was not very nice of the man.  So locals don't think its ok.. But the Lake Chapala Society has been pushing this kind of behavior.  So now only 1 side of the USA spectrum ever goes to this place that was for x pats to meet up but taken over by one side so bad that if you go there and do not march lock step to the lcs one-sided agenda you will be physically attacked.
