Moving to Dubai with a criminal record

Hello,

Hoping someone can help me here.

I am moving over to Dubai in April into a Recruitment role.

They are sorting the visa etc for me.

I was given a criminal record back in 2015 which resulted in suspended sentence. It was a 1 off altercation with a person on a night out and I have never been in trouble since.

I have spoken to a few people who has advised it shouldn鈥檛 be an issue but wanted to get as much as advise as possible.

Do the UAE look into this sort of information?

Well, it's difficult to say. It might be an issue or it might not. I have seen it go both ways.聽 But higher chances of it not being an issue.

Which country did you have this issue? Have you been to Dubai since 2015?

I am moving from the United Kingdom to Dubai in April.

The criminal record is in the United Kingdom (my place of birth)

I went on holiday to Dubai in may 2022.

any further help would be appreciated.
