Canadian Passport - Planning to visit Saudi Arabia for the first time

kamran3397

Hi Everyone,
I have a few questions regarding my upcoming visit to Riyadh. Since i have never been to that part of the world i hope someone can help me .

I am a Canadian living in Toronto who is thinking of visiting Riyadh in April 2021. The purpose is to live with another Canadian friend who lives and works in Riyadh and look for a new job in my profession. I can apply for an one year e-visa(multiple entry) which allows me to stay there for only 90 days. This e-visa also gives me health insurance for my stay in Saudi. I think it cost 210$. I do not have any family members in Saudi , i will be traveling alone and plan to live with my friend for 6 to 9 months. He said it is good enough a time to get a job in our profession.

If i do not get a job within 90 days , can that e-visa be extended after 90 day staying within Saudi Arabia or not? If yes . How many time can the e-visa be extended and how long is each extension.
If an extension in evisa is not possible. Then is it possible to exit the Saudi Arabia to go to another country (Like UAE,Bahrain etc) for a day or two and then re enter Saudi Arabia for another 90 days? Will the immigration officer allow me to reenter Saudi Arabia.
I am only asking because here our immigration officer can kick up a fuss if a foreigner tries to leave and tries to reenter Canada the same or next day on his visit visa.

kamran,

My understanding of current KSA's immigration policy are and maybe completely wrong:
1. KSA currently is not granting any visa's for visitors due to COVID-19 variants; I don't know about work visas
2. unless you have multi-entry visa and a Iqama (residential) card, once you exit, it's considered a final exit, YMMV

I hear they will allow it after March 2021. My Evisa will be multiple entry but no Iqama.
