As you said you know most of researched the ruls and laws and culture how come those guys got those girls !!!!聽 I think the embassy here and the saudi embassy too have make sure those girls have to understand the rules cuz I think guys get it so fast and they know what to do

None of the embassies tell you the 'rules' here.聽 It's up to the individuals and I'm just saying it's wrong of Saudi guys to attempt to take advantage.聽 I'm certain you agree with me here

Common dont caught me on this, why dont we look into common grounds rather than digging for conflicts? I believe everyone here should be treated with good intensions untill he proof something else...but i swear everone here felt bored and looking for gaving some fun...so i wrapped my luggage and will cheer the moment in Manama 馃槑

I just took a quick look at saudi embassy in the state and see a lot of things writing but I still highly recommend ppl to educate their selfs before to move anywhere ! And I agree those guys should not exist in anywhere cuz their bad they should got reported

You're right about people educating themselves and NOT believing what somebody with an ulterior motive might tell them.聽 But as for reporting somebody, none of us do it. We'd only be making trouble for ourselves if we did.

Sad to say that there are actually expats doing the reporting also, AllieCat...yah know! those envious, horse-saint-type o' ones...

For the parties...got invited to a couple of 'celebration' for arabs (like, weddings, baby showers, or bachelor parties)...te-hee...but, there's no just fun at all for us if there's no mingling of both sexes... like hell? it's all boys party, and if it's mixed, all the girls are actually secluded on the other side of the hall or isteraha!

I have actually been invited to several weddings by Saudi MEN I know from my job (good guys who I like a lot as friends and co-workers) but as you said:聽 males and females are segregated.聽

SO.. only knowing the guy who invited me means I would be in another hall with women I don't know and who don't know me and who quite probably don't know English (and who are thinking to themselves, 'Who's the white woman in the corner?!!'聽 ).

Needless to say, I turned down the invitations

Alright guys,

Night life here is nothing like the UK. I've been here for a couple of years now and made my way to a few. Parties are always an underground scene here..... It's purely who you know. Would be interested to find out where some more are. We have the odd gathering in my place. But facilities aren't great. just what you make of it really!

To my knowledge (other than embassy parties);

If you can get up to Salwa, there are some good parties up there but only on major occasions.

Sedar (or cedar, can't remember) village compound always has a good night on a wednesday if you can get in with somebody you know.

Yamama is a good one to get to.

Otherwise, get a party set up and invite us all along! Reciprocal agreements!
