Sadara New Employee Wives
Hi all,
Just wondering how the wives who have already got their men over in Saudi are finding life back home?
James only got to KSA at the weekend and I'm missing him madly already. The house feels very empty! It seems the 2 initial weeks in Saudi before starting the OJT is a load of rubbish, as they all seem to be being kept there for a few months. :-(
On a positive note, the feedback I've had from James since he got there is promising. It seems that its not quite as daunting or "weird" as he expected, and is really impressed with the shopping and certain facilities.
Anyway, just wanted to catch up with you all. This thread is for us wives after all! :-)

Hey Sarah
It sounds like we will all love it there. Cris has been there since the first and while he is going quad biking, eating in fancy restaurants chilling with the lads etc I seem to be sat at home a bit lost without him to be honest. It seems like he is going to be in Saudi about 8 weeks not he initial 2 we were all told
Hope you are ok. Won't be long until we are all out there
Good day Aljude 2 community.
I will join Sadara on the 23rd April. I may have a training in Germany !?
Do you know if my wife can come with me at the same time or she must wait untill I come back from Germany ?
Any Idea about international schools at Jubail that are offering english curriculum ?
Thank you .
karim

Hello all,
I'm Emma, wife to be of Scott (we get married in August) and Mummy to 4 and 3 year old boys.....and not into bikes...
It's great to see so many wives or wives to be posting on here.
I'm used to being apart from scott as he works offshore, so we've at least managed 3 weeks apart....as for nearly 5 months.....well that's going to take some doing!
Scott leaves on the 11th of April and although it's unlikely, I'm hoping that we might be able to all see each other again before the wedding!
The boys and I are aiming to go in January 2015, but is anyone else starting to worry about schooling yet?
Dont worry..you can get your adrenaline going in the dunes at Half Moon Bay by Dharhan.
Do they let you play with your own mx bikes there or just rent quads?
Hello Sara
I'm Rahmah means Mercy
You can drive your bike cos I have friends in Harley Davidson Dhahran group some of them singles and some couples they get long rides first morning in weekends. You can find them gathering in Sarbuck in Khobar Cornish. You will find single ladies have license and drive freely with the group
So as I'm a Saudi girl how lived her most life here. About activities nothing much outside compounds. But inside it, that's different story. I've been guests in few foreigners compounds and it's more fun than outside. You can find malls and cafés. Don't forget the salons and gyms in both. I would suggest if you sign up in some courses like drawing or diving if you like.
Let's not forget BAHRAIN you can go there for cinema or night club or a luxury bar at ritz Carlton (y)
If you need more info let me know. And I will help you ^_^
Good luck and I hope you will enjoy staying.
Hi there....my hubby has just accepted a job offer with Sadara. Still trying to decide how and when myself and kids will join him. I have an 18th old daughter and 15 year old son ( we have older kids too but they will stay here) 15 year old may also stay if it's better for him here. We are thinking of waiting till new complex for sadara opens next year. Nice to see that there are other wives looking to offer support .
Any info etc gratefully received .
Thanks Tracy .
Hi Mohammad,
My name is a khalid a North America residence with a highly wualified engineer expecting to get an offer for Training and development.Do you have any idea that what compensation should I negotiate with SADARA or what they can offer me.
Thanks
Hi all,
Im lauren. My husband goes straight to Saudi, Jubail 2 Aug 2014. We've already had medicals and will be joining shortly after. Im having a nightmare with schools. My daughters 5.Â
I think Im going to have to home school her until a space becomes available Is anyone else in this situation? Im panicking to say the least.
Any wives going out qualified UKÂ teachers lol
Any advice would be really really appreciated.
Hi Lauren, will your husband be working for Sadara? If so, there is a specific Facebook group for Sadara expats and their families which is where most people exchange info and help each other out. You may be able to get some good info on there about schooling ideas. My husband will be going to Saudi in mid August and I'll be joining him shortly after, so see you there hopefully! :-) Sarah
ISG school in Jubail shouls accommodate a 5 year old. A lot of people have been and preregistered their kids and not been told there will be any problems. Why do you think there wil be problems?
Hi everyone,
With the blog title I'm sure this is the best place to post this request.
It would be very useful if any of you could leme know if you'll could help me push a CV(resume) in to Sadara?
Would highly appreciate any effort.
Please let me know if any of your husband's are in a position to help.
Thank you

Hi Sarah
im not on facebook yet but i am going to have to make an account very soon. Yep he has a job with Sadara.
Im excited but Im scared all at the same time. im excited for the experience and provided I get a school sorted for my little one Im excited for her. Think it will be an amazing opoprtunity for her to see life out side of teesside. Im giving up my job and its took me years to get here (so a bit bitter sweet). But family comes first
Also Bahrain looks exciting and not too far!
Have you any idea of what compound you will live on?Â
