Few Suggestions :-

1. Arabian Dates - The best I think are called Shukkary. Take the dry ones.
2. Arabian rugs, embroidery etc.
3. Arabian Headgear Cloth - The red one. it's Arab insignia of sorts ;>Ìý
4. Arabic themed decorations . At Bharain airport u get this smiling camel toy , grt for the showcase , hope u might get it here too...

Which Witch

Local perfume or natural rose oil in a nice cruet.

Have a look at the jewelry souks.Ìý Doesn't have to be extremely expensive.Ìý I have received some very nice traditional Saudi jewelry that I like quite a bit.

Having you home for Christmas will be their best present! But maybe a little bottle of the local perfume as a token, I doubt if they will like it as it is very strong and musky. Have to say the chocolates here are very wonderful and not many ladies can resist the brown devil!

You poor fella, buying gifts for women is always a challenge, I have ben there many times so let me share few ideas with you;
-If they like jewelry, then silver / stones are a good idea and balad is the place to go for traditional ones also there is a place in Coral mall-tahlia 2nd floor for awesome Turkish ones.(SR300-500)
- If they are into accessories then there is a place in Aziz mall 2nd floor selling gold plated accessories with unique design of lovely Arabic letters.(SR300-600)
-If they are into traditional thing, then go to Al fysaleya al nsweya bgadah charity  its behind IMC (emergency iterance) they sell handmade traditional stuff (good quality) made by handicap women.
-If you feel generous, buy them a nice Kashmiri handmade silk carpet (SR3000-5000) go to carpet man in Mosaidiyah and tell him that Ahmad " the Jordanian" sent you for good deals.
-For dates, Bateel in red sea mall opposite to pottery and barn has a nice collection (actually it is more of a nice packaging) and now they have xmas special package !!. Tala (Sari street before Madinah Road coming from west)has a better" creative" collection . Sokarrry, Saqiy and Ajwa are the best or just buy it form any local date shop.
If you like the ideas and need any help then give me a buzzÂ…Happy xmas
