Any problems bringing spouse.

TXbrandiwine

I am a female from Texas looking to get a allied health position in Saudi Arabia.  I keep hearing mixed stories about if the agencies will allow women to bring their husbands.  Has anyone had this problem?

Bringing your husband is dependent on your profession position as stated on your resident visa (Iqama).

If your employment is a senior position, bringing your spouse is not a problem as your salary will be sufficient to support family.

You just have to make sure that the visa that you will be having is good enough to bring a dependent, then you will have no problem at all.

Hi TXbrandwine,

Usually what happens is the authorities are afraid your husband will enter KSA and then start working. So thatÂ’s why theyÂ’re hesitant to allow females to bring their spouses compared to the other way around. Either way, if you have a good visa status here, and your company PRO (Public Relations Officer) is strong enough and has the needed connections; Anything is possible.

Moreover, IÂ’ve heard of other alternatives as well. All the best..!

Trevis

we are now going through this process, my wife is a teacher and has been told that I will not be able to join her for three months!!!

@ stevem why would you leave amwaj to come here, I have just moved over from bahrain as husbands company decided it was too unsafe in Bahrain!!!!
@ Stevem and Tx brandiwine its hard enough for the women here to overcome the total boredom, there is NOTHING to do, I cant imagine being an expat husband here. If your name is because its your favourite tipple, thats also a bit of a problem here!!!

It will not be to bad, in time I'm hoping to get a job with the school, we will be on the Redsea coast with a nine hole golf course as within the compound, we shall see how it goes, the main problem is this three months being stuck in the UK!!

hey there,
im going through this process at the moment. im nursing in riyadh and its been very difficult organising visas for him to enter.  we have been able to apply for a visitor visa for him to visit (which can be for up to 3months) and you can apply for 2 more (max) visitor visa extentions of up to 3 months.  i have had to sign paper work which states im completly supporting his visit financially, which has so far been successful...fingers crossed it all works out!!  the other way your partner could be here is to apply for a job himself....??? it just depends on his qualifications as saudi prefer some careers more than others. good luck!! :)
