English couple, living in Tasmania, now looking to shift to Doha!

Hello all,

These types of forums are absolutely invaluable to people like us looking to reach out for advice about those tricky things that we need to know so thank you for setting it up.

We have lived in Aus since 1996, originally from Sussex and having settled here are considering taking up the opportunity to work in Qatar for a while. I am an Environmental Manager and hubby is a nurse. I have been offered a position in Doha and we are hoping hubby can get work too.

We are in our early 50s and enjoy football (watching, not playing!), travel (obviously!), food and wine and bird watching. I will be working in West Bay and will probably want to live close by so if anyone can recommend anywhere that would be great.

You should check in " flats for rent in Doha" there are several recent adds in聽 range 5000QR.

Also you can try with Qatarliving.com, that's best.
