Tomorrow is the first day of Ramadan

kuwaiti girl

Ramadan Kareem...

Some tips to avoid problems that you could have during Ramadan:

1- Working hours in Ramadan will be from 9:30 or 10 am till 1:30 or 2:30 pm. The traffic jam will be annoying and if you have to drive during these times try to be careful and do not use the left line in the highway cose they gonna drive like crazy.

2- Unfortunately, many people will act so badly(Particularly smokers) and  Muslims should not act in this way.

3- You will  see many women with no make-up at all :mad: so you will be able to see there real faces:P:D

4- In case you have met any of those (bad tempers) just say to them ( ana saeem )I am fasting - cose it has a huge effect on us (make them sham )

5- Most of malls will be empty during day time ( I hope so)

6- As you all know no restaurant working during the day time  but sultan center is always in your service (they do have a greet food )

So I hope it was helpful .;)

God bless you all.

al-salam a-leekom wa rahmat allah wa barakato (Peace and mercy of God be upon you all)

Ramadan Kareem to everyone on this group.

I am an expat and have been here for the last 5 years. Kuwait is a really nice place and really fun to be in Ramadan - particularly in the evenings.

Best wishes to everyone and have a great time.

Best Regards

I suppose a lot of people don't know that the proper way to respond to "ramadan kareem" is "allahu akram"... not mashkoor or shukran or ya36eek el 3afya or 7ayak allah.

:D Will the proper way to respond to "ramadan kareem" is "allahu akram"...  that is true. But the right way to congratulates people (as we do in kuwait)is by saying
Mubarak alik al-shahar (I hope it is a month of blessing be upon you all) and proper way to respond is by saying alina wa alik (You and we also or upon you and us too)

I hope I explain it correctly (help me holdcardsdown):P:D
