Hi, Michelle or Michal,
you wrote that you are looking for like-minded people. I read your profile, and among other things you listed travel and reading.  Could you make those more precise? For example, I spent most of my adult life on the road (slowing down in the last few years as I've settled in Israel, but I still manage to get some travel in) all over the world. As far as reading, I read a lot, but I have no idea if our reading tastes coincide. What genre do you like to read?

Hi Nomad,

Sorry for the delay. I am not sure I even got an e-mail about your post, I only happened to find it under my bell notifications icon.

This is more of a personal question, so you should probably PM me.

Well I'm not heavy into traveling, as my health isn't great & has gotten very bad since I got here which is why I'm returning to the US. I FINALLY figured out the root cause though, so I'm happy that I understand where this is all coming from.

I haven't really travelled. I was forced to move around a TON from an early age until we moved to Toronto, Ontario in '84, & then I stayed put there, but even there I had to move from house to house which for me is very stressful.

I love culture & learning, so I'd still like to visit & see countries I've never been, but I too want to be settled overall.

I didn't want to live in North America anymore which is why I moved to Panama, but after moving there & hating it & living here & not being able to handle it for other reasons other than it's killing my health, I think it's best I stay put in a culture I may not completely resonate with, but I understand.

I was thinking about moving to Italy (or trying anyway), NZ, & a few other countries, but I just can't keep hopping all over the place.

As for reading, I used to be a bookworm as a chile, then I stopped in '88 b/c I was too busy being ambitious & then was running my biz, then I started back up again around '97 slowly at first.

I mainly read non fiction. I'm spiritually conscious (nothing to do with religion), so I read books, but I'm more into trying to do rather than read as reading doesn't really help in spiritual growth, only doing does.

I also read a ton of health books as I'm heavily into holistic health.

I used to read a lot of business books, but not much anymore, & now I'm heavily into seeking the truth about secret societies & how they have been controlling the world since even before the 1700's. How they are still trying to control us (and succeeding for the most part) & who's behind it all.

So I'll read books on corruption & all the lying that goes into keeping people ignorant. How our media is corrupt, etc.

I also read a lot of books on EVIL CORPS & how they poison our food, water & air.

But I do a lot more of my reading online now & have started watching more YT videos. But I still read from my Kindle every day.

I have tons of books waiting to be read, but that's always the case with a bookworm LOL

I sometimes go thru bouts of reading fiction b/c I need to just chill & float away, but I haven't read one in a while.

Oh, & I'm still reading books on the conflict here & trying to piece together who is telling the truth (both sides lie) & form my own educated opinion which isn't easy :  (

So that's a bit about me.

What do you read & when was the last tine you traveled & to where?

Thanks for reaching out :)

Hi,

I can't help you with the sports as that's not my thing, but I'm curious where you've traveled to.

Are there many Jews in Puerto Rico?

I was once considering moving there, but I think there's a lot of pollution there, right?

Hi,

I am new here in expat. I am from the Philippines. Is there anyone here who knows a job that does not require to speak in Hebrew? I will really appreciate your replies. Thank you.

Hebrew is an amazing language and it's really easy to learn too. You should take it up.

I personally find all three -speaking, reading and writing easy. But for starters just focus on speaking. You'll find it really useful, especially when communicating with people outside your work. :D
