Bahrain CPR and Saudi Driving License

mkhusain

Anyone please let me know if I can drive my friend's car in Bahrain. I have a Bahraini CPR but a Saudi driving license.

I have heard that they keep the Saudi driving license when they convert it with a Bahraini one. That's the reason why I don't want to get a Bahraini license, as I don't want to lose the other one. I am not sure if I can later get another one issued from Saudi on the pretext of misplacing/losing it.

Hi Mkhusain,

I invite you to have a look at this article : Driving in Bahrain.
It might help you.

I would also advise you to have a look at the threads in the Cars Bahrain, Transportation in Bahrain forum.

They won't keep it if you have a valid Saudi residency and you show them that.

Thanks. I do have a valid Saudi residence but no sticker to show on my passport. The physical iqama card is to expire after Hajj, though my visa is valid till the 2022 Hajj.

Another issue is that when I tried to book an appointment online for the driving license, it required me to have 2 doses of the vaccine for me to enter the premises. I have only one dose of Pfizer, taken in Saudi.
