Spouse visa

naziahafeez555

Hi,
I got married to a Bahraini and my nationality is indian. unfortunately we got divorced. My spouse visa is expiring next month. Right now I am in the process of buying an apartment which is taking a lot of time than expected. My question here is will I get a grace period ? And is there a possibility that I can change my visa to tourist /visit visa as I would like to finish buying of my apartment while I am here. Instead of going back to India and coming back. Due to corona I would like to avoid travelling back and forth.

Thank you

A residence visa cannot be converted to a visit visa without exiting.

Grace period is 30 days which NPRA can extend up to 90 days if you approach them.

The immigration stated that they require His (husband) signature and he has to be present in the immigration in order to give the extension with his original cpr. Not even one month grace period is given with the ex husband consent.
My visa expired day before yesterday. I am booking a flight for today, will there be a problem at the airport as I have stayed more?

They might not let you leave without asking you to pay a fine.

any idea how much is the fine?

naziahafeez555

is it per day fine?

Check with NPRA for exact fine amount.
