MOVISTAR PAYG
I have a Movistar PAYG. Dispite making and receiving no calls or SMS my credit occasionally reduces. I have ‘MOBILE DATA SWITCHED OFF’. What is going on? Yesterday I topped up directly with Movistar €10 the next day down to €6 where has €4 gone?
Thank you Bhavna for your reply and interest.

- @amber9776Yes it’s driving me nuts. There seems to be no support at all for Pay As You Go ‘’PAYG’’ in any language. I’ve goggled this problem and I’m not the only one who is having this problem. It’s like having a pick pocket thieving out of your purse.Let’s hope a forum member maybe able to advise. Live in hope.
@SimCityATThank you SimCity.Tried that and got email:-Bienvenid@ a la Comunidad.
@SimCityATYes I thought it might come to that. I am frightened of moving from the frying pan into the fire. All I want is basic pay as you go, talk and text with very little usage. Really it’s just an emergency device. I am not one of those with a Smartphone walking round all day with it glued to their ear. I don’t even know what a GB and 5G are.- @amber9776
You might want to consider something like Lobster >
@SimCityATJust checked my credit on Movistar and guess what ‘’it’s taken another €4 for nothing’’.Seems Movistar has put me on ‘’Tipo Prepago Unica 24 h’’ whatever that is and without saying anything.- @amber9776
@SimCityATYes its a mobile phone company, you get unlimited Calls and SMS (text messages) to Numbers in Spain. As you don't bother with smartphones, you will just need the basic plan which is €6 every 28 days. Thanks SimCity- @amber9776What prices? Is Lobster a mobile telecom network like Movistar, Vodafone and Orange, or is it just a shop in Quesada selling plans on best commission?
You need to call 1661 0°ùÌý 0711 000 711
@SimCityATHello SimCity thanks for the information.Ah so Lobster does not have it’s own network, it’s just an independent broker selling deals, plans with short term contracts for various networks.Maybe the term Pay As You Go ‘’PAYG’’ is not quite the same anymore where you put monetary €s credit on your phone, then use it as you like to make calls, no commitment to usage or spend. Now they seem to want to sell you a plan (€12 per 28 days) but with a monthly renewable contract. Not really true PAYG is it?- @amber9776
They also off a plan for unlimited calls just for Spain, €5 for the first 3 months then it goes up to €10 a month.
