Hello from Valencia Spain

Hello everyone ,
Just joined this expat forum for some friendly social chat and thoughts on a relocation to the south of Spain. I am living in Valencia and a bit wary about moving south, not having been exposed to such a large expat community living around me and also having been 10 minutes from a major city. That maybe sounds funny but as I only have lived in Valencia with only Spanish residents and friends it could be a shock to live on the Costa del Sol,no? On the other hand聽 I think the more cosmopolitan social makeup could make it easier to socialise, make friends and get more out of my life here. Valencia is tough going on your own.
Is it still relatively "Spanish" in terms of residents,food and culture from Marbella down to Sotogrande despite being so popular with expats?
I reckon I could live without the big city but of course I need聽 income,another biz idea or a job !
