Spain has broken its all-time June temperature record

SimCityAT

Spain has broken its all-time June temperature record, as El Granado (Huelva) hit a scorching 46°C on Saturday — the highest June temperature ever recorded in the country.

This dramatic spike surpassed the previous record of 45.2°C, which stood since 1965 in Seville.

The heatwave is gripping much of southern Spain, with Andalusia experiencing extreme conditions. Meteorological agencies have issued red alerts, warning that even higher temperatures may arrive today.

⚠️ Authorities are urging caution:

✔️ Stay hydrated

✔️ Avoid outdoor activity during peak heat

✔️ Check on elderly or vulnerable neighbours
