Hi Scott, Welcome.

Some of the gay-friendly neighborhoods in Lisbon are Príncipe Real and Bairro Alto.

I would have thought that all of Lisbon's inner neighborhoods are gay-friendly. But, I might be wrong and it is the whole city. I never heard any complaints from my gay friends.

I think the OP means Gay Villages, which are found in large towns but mainly in cities. So asking what locations they are in.

Portugal has prominent "" or areas, most notably Lisbon's Bairro Alto and Principe Real neighbourhoods, known for their concentration of gay bars, clubs, and events. Porto also has a notable and growing LGBTQ+ scene, while the Algarve region serves as a hub for gay-friendly beaches and a welcoming atmosphere for travellers.

In Lisbon

Bairro Alto: This historic quarter is known for its lively nightlife, with numerous small gay-friendly bars, pubs, and a popular gay sauna on Rua da Barroca.

Príncipe Real: A more upscale and trendy area with chic restaurants, designer shops, and popular gay clubs such as Trumps and 106 Bar.

Cais do Sodre: This waterfront area also has a thriving gay scene, with a mix of traditional and modern venues, and is home to the famous Pink Street.

In Porto

The LGBTQ+ scene is primarily centred around Rua da Galeria de Paris, offering bars and clubs.

Porto hosts an annual film festival dedicated to queer cinema.

In the Algarve

The region is famous for its gay-friendly beaches, including Praia 19, Praia do Barril, and Praia Verde.

The city of Faro also has a visible LGBTQ+ scene with bars and venues.

That answer from artificial intelligence has some correct issues, but it is distorted and refers to terms that are not correct, such as gay villages, hub, etc. I have already mentioned these neighborhoods, but they are not exclusive to this community. There are no LGBT flags in the windows, as there are in other countries. Most of the people who live there do not belong to that community. But there are few establishments and bars frequented by that community that is welcome.
