Seems we are stuck with one form or another of Covid for quite a while !
We got lots of French people arriving in our area ... and France has decided there is no need for masks any more... so will they wear them here?
We can expect a full wave end of the summer.
The projections are that new contaminations will be of the Delta variety around 90%  by end of August...
Our small village is finally under attack too : over 100 cases already.

No shopping center for us! Even though we got both shots of Pfizer in April and May. They might protect a bit but... The air conditioning in stores/supermarkets could pose a risk too...

Actually it might be getting worse ! So brace yourself ... and watch a lot of good movies!!!

There are very fewer and fewer cases in France. They do wear mask when necessary. After the British invasion, Portugal had all kinds of variants and it's a good thing that they cannot come unless either fully vaccinated or with a mandatory quarantine.
Apparently, Astrazeneca doesn't work that well with variants. In Portugal, we have Pfizer, which is probably the best with Moderna to protect against Delta variant.

Thanks for providing this link to Portugal News. I don't fully understand why these measures are deemed necessary with most of the vulnerable people vaccinated and C19 with all its variantes not much worse than a serious flu. It looks like especially us - the guests in this country - cannot do much about all of this.

THANKS for your feedback

Actually that was true until 5 days ago- now numbers are increasing fast in France and the Delta variant % doubles every 2 weeks.
Sorry my link is in French ...
"Pour le septième jour consécutif, le nombre de cas recensés en France a augmenté ce dimanche avec 2.549 cas signalés par les autorités sanitaires en 24h en France ( 27,3% en une semaine)."

I know its How long is a piece of string but is Portugal announcing any long-term forecast to when their situation is going to improve. (don't shoot the messenger)
