Seasons in Portugal

MateoT7

I've done a bit of research on the seasons in Portugal but numbers really don't tell the whole story.

I'm looking to travel to Portugal during the worst weather for tourism to get a feel for what to really expect in the different regions. Can someone living there please help me out?

Thank you.

Whatever my experiences are will not be the same as yours, whatever my opinions of weather are will not be the same as yours.  Does any of your research involve first person experience or just "interweb research" if not then ...............

The worst months for tourism are November, January and February.

December usually has some tourism because of Christmas and New Year's Eve.

I picked the furthest South for the best temps and weather and walking distance to beach. Won't say the winters are perfect but far better than anything North of here. If beach is your thing look closely at Google earth and you'll see several cities front on lagoons requiring boats to reach the actual ocean. Less wind than the silver coast and calmer water. Been here 3 years and very happy with my choice. Live in an actual city with all services and year round population. Some of the coastal towns become ghost towns in the winter. It all depends on what you're looking for.

As a reply to all of you, thank you very much! This is all such great information. I am so very glad I found this site!

I'm now looking at November or January to visit. I do prefer warmer weather and good beach access but I have two cats and would prefer to be on the outskirts of a city rather than in, and some cooler weather once in a while would be nice.

Thanks again, a plan is starting to come into focus.
