'Notification in the Preliminary Hearing' - Portugal Job Seeker Visa

Hello everyone,

I had applied for Portugal Job Seeker Visa on 7 May 2025 from a VFS center in India. After almost 2.5 months, that is on 17 July 2025, I received the 'Notification in the Preliminary Hearing' from the Portuguese Consulate. In this notification, the below statement was mentioned.

It is the intention of the Consular Post to reject my Job Seeker Visa because 'the information provided regarding the justification of the purpose and/or conditions for the intended stay is not reliable'.

So I submitted an updated 'Letter of Purpose and Condition of Stay'. Now I want to know how much is the chance of successfully getting my visa. Will the consulate finally reject my visa? I am very worried about it.

Also please let me know if any Job Seeker Visa applicant has received such 'Notification in the Preliminary Hearing'.

Hi @jatinlodhiya7,

You may not know it, but many of your compatriots have given wrong addresses in Portugal, with documents with fake signatures in exchange for money, and because of that, there are several cases where dozens of people from India and other countries live at the same address (!). This is totally unacceptable, which is why the current government is carefully evaluating all the information so that this doesn't happen ! Proof of accommodation is one of those documents that consulates/AIMA is being careful to analyse....
