Finally! After months of waiting, I received my D7 approval! Happy! But the wrinkle is, I鈥檓 leaving tomorrow to go Porto. I had planned to spend the 90 days and come back if I didn鈥檛 get the approval by then. I was wondering if I left, could I FedEx聽 my passport to my sister in the US聽 and have her FedEx聽 to the embassy and then when she gets it, FedEx it back to me?聽 Has anyone else done this?聽 My ticket is non refundable and it would be very costly to buy another ticket now. Thanks!

I can't be certain but I think you have to attend in person. You really have to contact the Embassy to get a firm answer.
