Applying for jobs, while on a dependent visa

quasar1686

Dear friends,

I am new to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ!  :)  I am Quasar, I work for a Swiss international investment bank, in India as a finance professional. Through internal mobility, I landed a challenging job within my bank at Wroclaw, in an exciting area. I shall shortly receive my work permit and I am in the process of applying for an appointment at the Polish Consulate, Mumbai for National work visa type-D stamping.

My spouse is traveling on a dependent visa, tagged to my work permit. I would like to ask a few pointed questions, I would be delighted, if someone here can help.

1. Can my spouse search for jobs in Poland, during her stay in Poland? Would having a Polish address give her some edge over searching for jobs from India?

2. Would she need an employer to sponsor her work permit? I have read that spouses of European Blue-Card holders have access to the labor markets.

3. What's the difference between TRC and a Polish Blue Card? Do I have a choice in the matter while applying for them?

Thanks,
Quasar.

Hi Quasar,
Welcome to Poland !!!

Its hard to get job for  for your spouse unless she speak other languages like Polish,Germany or French .

->She need workpermit to work in Poland as you got from your employer .
-> But if you have Blue Card than your spouse should be able to work without any workpermit
-> You can ask to your company/agency who help you get TRC/BlueCard
