Hi! I came to Norway 4 years ago.- Before coming I learnt a little Norwegian, to come along. People are very friendly, speak perfect English, but appreciate a lot when we foreigners force us to speak Norwegian!- Besides, living in a foreign country, to me it is a MUST to learn the language. First of all by courtesy - we were not forced to live there -so we are at "somebody's elses home" and have to accept their language, learn their traditions, start eating their food (wonderful, by the way!), be interested in all about the country! This is a wonderful adventure for us foreigners - and a great pleasure for the Norwegians! The first or most important words to know? Well- greeting: hello - HEI, good bye -HA DET BRA, thanking: please - V脝R S脜 SNILL , thank you: TUSEN TAKK.

Hi! Depend how qualified u are! In Oslo,is not so difficult to find a job with out Norvegian language if u work in catering industry.If the person have very good skill and is working hard some agencys like Adecco ,Man Power can place u in some restaurants,hotels etc.Also cleaning jobs are not difficult to find with a good english. The candidate have to have a good CV and some reference letters from the places she/he work before in her/his country,or another country.For me Norway is not a easy country when is about emigration,but who ever decide to came to live here have to fight for a job very hard,and a permanent job on this time is very hard to found it.
