Moving to Norway on Job seeker visa

Hi all,

I am Gaurav from Punjab,India.  I and my friend hv plans to come to Norway and i am MBA (Mktg) with 9 years exp and want to know is finding job in Norway is very difficult and local employer do not take interest in foreigners? I also want to know Norway job seeker visa is schenegan visa, can we move to another country from norway ? Is this possible any time means after reaching norway and our fist step is to register UDI and get 6 month visa and then can we move to another country ? Is this possible or not ?
Can we get some suitable accommodation in norway and one thing is it necessary to find job in our  skillled category or one can do other jobs ?

Kindly guide me.

Hi Gaurav,



How much I know you cannot do that, you need to have a work permit before leaving for a country for a job search. You need to have approx 5 lakh in bank account to survive for a year.
Even if you say it's possible , I think you need to land up a good job i.e. good money else they drive you away.  And living is very costly as houses are well equipped and furnished but range in 2000 to 1000 euro per month.


So if you going out and are eligible to find a job, than all the best from my end. Hope it helps you in some way!! :-)
