Hi, ive just joined the forum.  Husband and myself are looking to relocate to Northern Ireland, from England. We have always wanted to do this, and our children have all grown and getting on with their own lives, and rightly so! But now it’s our time! So, Ireland it is! But where? Any advice? We are still of an age where we can work, so would love to do that so we can make friends and socialise etc..

Thank you

Paula

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You may want to consider the whole of Ireland; thanks to the Common Travel Area agreement, UK citizens have the right to live and work there as well, you can read about it at this .

I've lived and worked both sides of the border, it's a beautiful place to live, I'd never seen so many different shades of green before.

As to finding a place, perhaps consider an AirBnB for a couple of weeks, give you a chance to scout around.

I hope this helps.

@Cynic

Hi  Thank you for the advise 😀  appreciate that. Will definately think about all areas of Ireland as we have no fixed ideas on anywhere in particular. We’re going to start doing our scouting around this summer, looking forward to it ðŸ‘ðŸ»
